When someone creates art, they are expressing their creativity. This is why art is so broad, because each person expresses their creativity in a different way.
Desiree De Leon has started a project that challenges her creativity each day. Her new project, 100 Days of Tiny Things, involves her finding and using small things around her in her art.
She takes small everyday objects and use them to aid her in creating imaginative little scenes. It's her way of challenging herself to see the world with new eyes.
She uses objects that she finds at both work and at home. You can see there's a huge variety in types of real life objects that she uses from food to office supplies.
This project reminds Desiree of her childhood as when she was a little girl, she used to find objects to place in her Barbie dollhouse as furniture.
She is constantly thinking of creating a miniature world with her drawings. She also loves the idea that her drawings can give a "new life" to little objects we're familiar with.
All of her tiny things-drawings so far have been quite clever. We can't wait to see whatever else she comes up with for the remainder of her 100 days project.
